Established in 1981 Vining Shipbrokers now operates from three locations - The 680 berth Waikawa Marina in Picton where we have 17 sales berths together with a large number of moorings to help display vessels for sale, our new office on the Nelson Marina (across the road from the Tasman Bay Cruising Club) and in Wellington where our agents Valance Dimock and Mike Coupe are very active around the various marinas.

At the Helm
In front of our office here at the Waikawa Marina (in Picton) we have a number of sales berths and we continue to be astounded at just how popular they are with buyers. We have recorded some stunning sales successes simply by bringing boats in from around the Sounds or from Nelson and Wellington and having them on display. Two very recent instances have seen boats that have been on the market for some time (but moored in an out of the way location) attract offers and then selling within 3-4 days of being on our berths. This week we have the Woolley 46 "Queen Rune", the Townson 25 "Impedance", the Riviera 40 "de Barque" (stunning vessel!) and the Prima 52 "Gazumped" lined up ready for inspection.
We are pleased to annouce that after the success of last years On the Water Boat Show (where 21 of 49 boats that featured in our promotion sold in the days and weeks following the event!) the 2nd Annual "On the Water Boat Show" will be held over three days from the 12th to the 14th November (Christchurch Show Weekend) and we have planned a number of great promotions to ensure that we will have great boats on display as well as lots of interested buyers!
Please note that over the Winter we are open 6 days, normal weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm, Saturdays from 9am to 2pm. Outside of these hours please call one of our team to make an appointment - we will be pleased to help!
