Established in 1981 Vining Shipbrokers has its main office on the 680 berth Waikawa Marina in Picton where we have 17 sales berths together with a large number of moorings to help display vessels for sale, we also have an office on the Nelson Marina (across the road from the Tasman Bay Cruising Club) and are represented in Wellington, Napier, Tauranga, Auckland & Gulf Harbour, Bay of Islands, Christchurch and Dunedin giving us New Zealand wide coverage of the marine scene. We have an experienced, professional full time brokerage team, we offer a courtesy runabout, operate a Trust Account for client funds and can organise deliveries around New Zealand and world wide.

At the Helm
Summer has finally arrived here in Picton! Today is the warmest day of the year to date and there are large numbers out on the water as evidenced by the number of empty berths in both the Waikawa and Picton Marinas and cars and trailers parked everywhere around the town.
The Fishing has been excellent with a number of snapper being reeled in as well as a large number of cod! The scallop season has been one of the better ones with the scallops in excellent condition!
We still have a few boats left on our sales berths should you experience an overwhelming desire to join those on the water!!
Please note that we are open 7 days, normal weekdays from 8.30am to 5pm, Saturdays from 9am to 2pm and Sundays 10.30 to 2pm. Outside of these hours please call one of our team to make an appointment - we will be pleased to help!
