2018 WineWorks Marlborough Wine Race – Friday 2nd November 2018
The WineWorks Marlborough Wine Race trophy was contested on December 1st 2017 when yachties raced across the Cook Straight in a battle to land our new release Marlborough wine on our capital's shores. In conjunction with the handicap trophy mentioned above, Wine Marlborough, sponsored a trophy for the yacht that took out line honours. This year's race will be held on Friday 2nd November 2018.
Since the race began in 2001, it has not only grown in size but vigour. In 2017, 45 yachts and 260 sailors raced across our most famous piece of water to Wellington. The race is organised by the Waikawa Boating Club. Yachts require a Category 3 safety certificate to be eligible to enter. Yachts and crews wanting to register to take part in the race can email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
This event has become a highlight on the New Zealand Offshore race calendar and the two significant developments to the 2017 event has seen even more wineries to enter more labels, with any varietal now able to be entered.
The second exciting addition is the introduction of the Wine Marlborough Series, raced over two Friday evenings prior to the race and starting in early October.

Thank you. I wish the new owner well and thanks a ton to Tony for working through the process with me. Had it not been for him, I am 100% certain this sale would not have happened. You guys have a great Broker in him.
After searching the North Island, we bought our 12m Launch from Gavin at Vining Marine Ltd in Waikawa. Not only were we completely satisfied with our broker and the deal we made on our vessel, but we have become friends with the Vining Marine Team, as the after sales service and advice was second to none.
With the help and support of the Vinings Team we were able to leave the boat in Waikawa long enough for us to cruise and appreciate the beauty of the Marlborough Sounds.
We look forward to an ongoing relationship.

"Making everything seamless and hassle free that is an art"
After going through the selling process for our Beneteau Oceanis 40, I found that the service and guidance that was provided by Steve Raea in Auckland as brilliant!!.
Any questions I asked, he had the answer plus a possible suggestion to go with it. It did not matter to him even if it was on his days off or when overseas.
Steve has a sound relationship with marine services such as surveyors and alike. To this I would like to say thank you Steve for making the process seamless and hassle free. Steve is continuing to help us in our search for our next vessel. J
My wife and I would recommend anyone looking to sell or purchase a boat to use Vining Marine.
Tony and Virginia.
I must thank you also for your utmost professionaism, many thanks, PHIL (After the sale of Phil's launch)
Well done on achieving the sale and thanks for your help today. As an aside I found your communication superior to most of the other brokers I have worked with as both a seller and a buyer. Must say during the sea trial I asked myself why am I selling however I am sure Mark and Family will get plenty of enjoyment from her.
Thank you so much for all your help & assistance with our purchase of "Jayne", the many taxi rides, honest advice and professional approach to our new home were very much appreciated. You are fantastic to work with and made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed.
Cheers, Jessica & Chris (Follows the purchase of a Roberts 44 Offshore Yacht - reference on file)
All went well with the handover, apart from the wet weather. Steve & Sue are really nice people, so good to know that Blu Wytch has gone to a good home.
Thank you very much Brent for all your help and the professional way you handled everything in bringing the sale to a conclusion.
Look forward to a catch up sometime on your side of the hill.
We wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the way you looked after us and the utter consideration you gave us right from the moment of our initial inquiry, during our stay in Picton and the purchase process, and then taking complete care of the post purchase shipping arrangements.
We should also take this opportunity to say how friendly and helpful we found the people you organised to carry out the services required to complete our purchase. This is not surprising as like attracts like, so thank you yet again.
Tony & Hazel
Thanks for finalising everything its been a great excersise. I cant thank you enough and its amazing how we came to meet at the Mooloolaba Marina.
There are a few boat brokers with their noses out of joint here at the moment.
Colin and his son only took 7 hours to get to Brisbane with the northerly getting up to 30 knots. They are really happy with Fine Line. I will keep in touch.
Cheers Mike (Follows the Sale of an Aussie Elliot 1050 to New Zealand Clients - reference on file)
I cannot thank you enough for the efforts you made to secure our ideal yacht.
After 50 years of sailing in and owning a variety of vessels, I know what I want, and the brief I gave you was detailed and demanding, indeed another broker told me a while ago that “The boat you are looking for does not exist”.
When you produced our dream boat we were amazed, and the way you helped us through the entire purchase with patience, integrity, and good humour, went far beyond what was expected.
I will definitely use your services again, and recommend you highly.
I was wanting to give you some feedback in our recent and ongoing contact with Vining’s. Firstly to give us the quality time, with no notice as you did last Friday was remarkable.
Michelle and I had almost given up trying to find the right boat. We had a short list of which I think you showed us all of them. I had dismissed Hinewai 2 so to see it and put an offer on it was all down to you.
I have dealt with Greg in Seaview and his manner was much the same as yours, professional.
Rest assured that we will recommend your company to anyone who’s looking to buy or sell a boat in the future.
Rod & Michelle
